Hey everyone,

It's been about 3 weeks since 0.1.6 was released and I'm still working really hard on the next update. Unfortunately, I'm nowhere near finished with 0.1.7 (maybe about 40% complete of where I want to end on).

It might seem that I'm slacking off, but that's not true at all. Even with the few scenes that I've completed so far, I've nearly surpassed the number of renders I've made for 0.1.6. It's just taking a lot more time to come up with story ideas and producing higher quality renders than usual. I'm not sure if you folks noticed but there is a huge quality gap between the older scenes versus the later scenes in the game. I intend to go back and sparkle some of the old stuff eventually, but that's time consuming and, again, I don't work on Scarlet Law full-time, unfortunately.

I'll be straight with you, I don't expect 0.1.7 to be COMPLETELY finished by the end of the month (and by COMPLETELY, I mean that there's a certain point in the story that I want to end on before I'm finished with 0.1.7... queue Patron unsub button).

That being said, a lot of you generous people are paying me money to work on this project, so I feel as though I have to SHOW SOMETHING in other to keep you guys satisfied. That's why I've decided to release beta versions of the game (for Patrons) to show you that I AM working on the project and not just slacking off to collect your money.

There may be two beta versions of the game before 0.1.7 is done. I'm about to release 0.1.7a (BETA) TODAY for Patrons only. If you choose to download it, I recommend that you use a different save file. A beta does not represent the final product of 0.1.7. Dialog may be changed, story may be changed, scenes may be changed, scenes may be swapped, etc.

Something to note is that there may not be enough content for you to justify a download. Scarlet Law 0.1.7a (BETA) currently only has 3 (maybe 4) scenes:

• 1 for Rita
• 1 for Ferry
• 1 Scarlet Contract

I would not download this version of the game if you are expecting a ton of content. But as I mentioned previously, I worked REALLY HARD on these scenes and the amount of renders I've made already nearly equals 0.1.6 in its entirety. There will possibly be another BETA uploaded within 2 or 3 weeks that will contain almost all of 0.1.7's content. We will have to see.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS UPDATE AKA [SPOILERS]:

0.1.6 ends with a heroine asking our hero to buyout her Scarlet Contract. Great news! You'll be able to do that in this very update! I want to say that this entire scene took a looooong time to work on so I hope you enjoy it.

Looks like we have some new girls in the house. Might need a bigger bed.
