it confused me a lot, picking flowers (w/o doing anything with them) was part of my daily routine in scarlet law :)
the last scene can not be unlocked - it looks like the variable sereevents is stuck at 7 (set in 01_quests_events::253), but the scene replay requires 9.
the events 7 to 9 are one long uninterrupted scene (starting in 01_sidequest::6871, as "label sere03_02"), you could either set the replay to serevents == 7 (and the next "real" event gets 8) or increase the variable in the two other subscenes/events ("label sere03_02_01" and "label sere03_02_02")
after Serene fires the MC it is still possible to work at the shop and walking her home. iirc this event is serevents 5, this could be used to block the activities ("and not serevents == 5")
to end this on a more positive note: I only critisize to make a game I like even better :D
edit: thinking about it a little bit more it is probably serevents 6. and I should work, and not thinking about renpy code ;)
I actually thought long and hard about the whole Serena firing MC and still being able to work thing but decided against disabling it. The main reason is that I had a similar problem with this a long time ago where players were getting soft-locked after I disabled a character from appearing. Maybe it won't be an issue now, but it possibly could arise again in the future and I want to just try and remain consistent for my sanity. I think just leaving it like this is fine for now.
locking players out of the story is a valid point I completely forgot. it should be safe in this case, though. the event chain cannot be broken, imho, as the next quest step is automagically activated.
MC gets fired:
if (location == "street_01" and sereaff == 14 and sereevents == 5 and timeofday == 0 and serequest == True)
-> serevents is increased to 6, scene plays [also the value of serevents that should disable working and walking home, I think]
the long 3 event chain plays, and serevents increased to 7:
(location == "mcroom" and sereaff == 14 and sereevents == 6 and timeofday == 4 and serequest == True)
-> no need to increase affection, the player simply has to be at the right place and time.
Have you considered addressing the issue of soft-locking with a "Narrator speaks to player" screen that explains this could cause the softlock, have the narrator specify a recommended course of action, and then have a "disable event" button that can be clicked to back out of triggering the event? You could then allow the player to enter the area without triggering that event after that screen - but the event re-triggers and gives this "back out screen" again each time you enter that area, encouraging the player to prepare for the softlock. Alternately, you could have a "disable event" or "disable progression" toggle in the MC's room or something.
Obviously such a tactic interrupts story flow. But perhaps that cost is worth paying in exchange for not having a game breaking bug or an immersion breaking game mechanic that is supposed to disappear instead not disappear?
Side Note: I know dick-all about Ren'Py code. I don't know what it is capable of successfully programming.
might be a stupid question - but my 'only' quest left is to find Estelle in the park - only she's not there - can't progress the story - any ideas? Gone there on different days, different times - only ones there are Azula in the mornings and Ferry at night. Estelle is found sleeping in her room late at night, but without interaction options. I'm stumped.

So i played this a while back and there was a lot more content in an older version than there is in 0.2.6. Im confused on why so much content was removed and im curious to which version was the one with all the missing content. anybody have an answer?
For some reason, the creator decided to reset everything rather than just changing newer content and then updating the previous work piecemeal. They also chose to not leave a download for the more complete version, which I later learnt after deleting the old version I had. I don't even know why he calls it 0.2.7 when it should be more like 0.0.9. Feels more like milking money when he removes all of the content he actually made
This is an error that occurs when you use a save that was made prior to 0.2.0. You can clearly see that the relationships screen is buggy but you still think the game was in good shape to continue playing?
This game has potential. Alot, please don't lose your focus. Also, while I enjoy a good story, please think about some of the dialog, I found some of it long winded and unnecessary. The story so far and the premise, for what this is, is a great start.
If you're a free player, demonstrate patience. It takes time to create something quality and I'm sure JYP doesn't want to spend literally 24/7 working on this game.
Unfortunately, I don't test my game on Android so I don't know the solution for this but I was told that using an older version of Android works. This might be something you should research for yourself before doing so. Sorry that I can't be of more help.
Depends on which platform you use. PC and Mac you have nothing to worry about. On Android, you need to use a file browser to locate and move the save file before installing the new version, then move it back afterwards.

The latest version is probably 10 after the patron release and for your question regardless of save. Just copy the save file and put it in new version (if your in android version = D) so hope I answered your questions
in 2.4 it had me raise mokotos affection then have a talk at the beach about the contract, but then it says all quests done. there is that one event where i can reserve the beach for a day. you are saying there is more than this?

I bought estelle's contract and got the scenes after with her and have spent a game week just making money and building affection. Is that everything in-game right now?
Edit: I had to reinstall and restart the game but I got more main quests.
Now I’m nowhere near knowledgeable enough to give you accurate information on this but I always took it as the regular version being for 64-bit operating systems and the one with the 32 at the end being for 32-bit operating systems. I could be wrong on this but fairly certain this is what they’re for. If you don’t know which one you have then you most likely have a 64-bit OS so I’d start there. If that doesn’t work then try the 32 one and if that still doesn’t work then redownload the file with your antivirus disabled and try the steps again. If that still doesn’t work then that’s as far as my knowledge goes on this matter.
32 bit programs could have certain limitations depending on the game engine, usually they are limited to only using 4GBs of ram, but they take less space.
64 bit is better in most cases, and most machines in the modern day are now 64 bits. It's a lot better in performance. It's main disadvantage is that it usually takes more space.

Go to the directory of where the game is saved from the previous version then head into a file called “games” and from there copy or cut the file called “saves” and paste it to the new version in the same location.
the directory should look something like this:
[wherever you have it saved]\ScarletLaw-X.X.X-pc\game\saves
If you still don’t know if you’re in the correct location then compare the files from the screenshot and you’ll know if you’re in the right location.
Is there a walkthrough? i reached the part where im asked to fix up the spare room by going to the guild but there is no questlog for it/no where new to go

the game used to have a lot more content but was revamped and so he hasn't redone some of hte content yet.

The game had a full rehaul when version 2.0 came out. it went from being 2d to 3d and was reset all the way back to basically the beginning

Yes it's a good game. But it need some improvement -
1. Serene affection didn't go up at all.
2. During powder girl incident (first occurrence) the flat-chested girl conversation it has her name there.
3. We don't know where to buy gifts like parfait and plushies...

On mac you shouldn't have any problems with save data, as it should be located in a different folder than your game.
